My students liked the fact that Paul Hewitt used visual aids in every lesson and that helped them understand the concepts. They liked the enthusiasm of Hewitt and his easy ways and numerous real life examples he used to teach Physics. Each lesson is informative and entertaining and holds the viwer's interest. It leaves students thinking about what they learned.

I show to my classes with worksheet that I have generated. I frequently stop to explain or enhance the lesson. Students get a kick out of the lessons.

I don't own this, but I have seen all of them in school. As a high school senior, i would love to have these at home to refer back to, but they are too expensive--unavailable to the normal public.
In class we would rather watch him than our normal teacher! The lesson on Vibrations and Sound is the best.

Using in an Active Physics Course, physics for the non-science major, in high school, grades 10-12. The students find Hewitt amusing and understandable. The length is perfect for block schedules and 50+ minute periods.

We bought this series to replace an older series on VHS done by Hewitt. I had never seen some of the topics because those tapes had disappeared by the time I started using them. This collection is in a similar format to the VHS where Hewitt is lecturing in a conceptual physics type of course. It is useful for my students to see someone other than me present concepts at times. He also does many demonstrations that I am either unable or unwilling to do. My high school students find Hewitt's style amusing. The DVD series covers every topic I teach in mechanics and the AP Physics teacher and Chemistry teachers use some of the other DVD's.

Highschool used these videos to teach Grade 12 Physics. They were outstanding at teaching the appropriate concepts. I just wish they were longer.
