The series/parallel board made circuit clearer than the spaghetti of wires students usually make. The bulbs aren't compatible with my other equipment -- it would be helpful to include specs of the bulbs in the product description.

This is an effective demonstration, but I found it a bit difficult figuring out how to move the different pieces in order to configure it for series and parallel. Clearer diagrams in the instructions would be helpful. However, when I finally finished fiddling with it I was able to demonstrate to my son the difference between series and parallel circuits. I don't know how durable this will be; only time will tell.

I really liked the different ways it could be used. I first would use it as a way to get kids making observations about different types of circuits. Later I could use it as an assessment for understanding cause/effect realationships as well as different types of circuits. I will be interested to see how it holds up with many years of use. Kids are trying to make their own homeade versions now!
