I've used these in the classroom, and they are what they are described as, and work well. Realize, however, that they are the same size as 35mm camera slides - quite small.

Pros:
Clear and clean slides, Easy To Use, Effective Demonstration, Fun, Interactive, Promotes Learning
Best Uses:
School, Spectroscopy lab, Students, Teachers
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

I numbered the slides by group to make sure that I got them all back. The students walked around the room and observed the spectra that different light sources emitted. The students held the slides by their frames and this kept the slides clean. The results were bright and easy to observe.

Over a window cut in the side of a small cardboard box, I stuck the Grating Slide.
Over a window cut in the opposite side of the box I stuck two pieces of foil to create a narrow slit. When the slit was pointed at a light source two orders of spectra were easily visible through the grating. Using the macro facility on my digital camera I was able to photograph the spectra. The grating can also show the spectra of night objects, for example mercury vapour street lamps, the moon, and stars. I plan to examine star spectra once I have arranged for a steady exposure of about 10 to 15 seconds. I am also interested in discovering the unique spectra of coated sunglasses, led lighting, and flame ionisation.

Excellent grating for the price. The glass sides protect the grating from fingerprints and other contamination. This is the best “toy” diffraction grating I have ever used.

I think it's a high-quality grating, but need more info. on how to make best use of it.
