This product really helped my students understand the concept of density. This set gives my students a hands-on activity that makes it much easier to understand the difference between volume, density, and mass.

The box that these come in is very, very flimsy, so be prepared to find your own way to keep them separate from each other. I've also gotten other density cubes (larger sets), and these are just a bit smaller so you can't integrate them in. The blocks themselves are nice, I've used them for both density and determining heat capacity.

Our chemistry teachers love these blocks. We use them for a lab practical over density and measurement. This set has the most variety we could find. The lead block gets banged up a bit with use, but that is just the nature of lead.

This product allowed me to give very minimal instruction to the students and allowed them to discover the identity of the blocks on their own. A good inquiry-based lesson.
