Originally developed for lighthouses, Fresnel lenses drastically reduce the amount of material required for magnification by using concentric circles, each resembling a section of a lens, but eliminating the bulk of material normally found in a convex glass lens. Just 1 mm thick, this set contains one demonstration lens, 26x18cm, one 18x8cm wide-angle lens, and twenty-five 3x3cm lenses for student use. Focal length 300mm.
