This specialized bottle is fitted with a balloon that opens at the top and a stopper that plugs the bottom. If the stopper is in place the balloon cannot be inflated. Remove the stopper and the balloon inflates with out a problem. What keeps the balloon from inflating? Replace the stopper with the balloon inflated and it remains inflated. What keeps the balloon inflated?
Fill the inflated balloon with water and remove the stopper. The spraying geyser that results will have your students thinking about air pressure in a whole new way.
