Features and Specs
Fine Beam Tube: A low-pressure 16-cm diameter inert gas-filled tube is mounted vertically and can rotate 180 degrees for fine adjustment of the horizontally-projected electron beam and observation of spiral orbits.
Light-tight enclosure: The entire apparatus is in a light-tight enclosure, very convenient for operating in normal lighting conditions.
Built-in Digital Voltage Supply: Sets of accelerating and deflecting electrodes have built-in voltage supplies with digital readouts.
Built-in Digital Current Supply: A pair of permanently-mounted Helmholtz coils has built-in variable current power supply with digital readout.
Measurement Aides: Metric scale and viewing aides to accurately determine the electron-orbit radius are included.
Vacuum tube: Diameter: 160mm
Voltages: Acceleration: 0 - 250V, Deflection: 50-250V, Current: 0.5 - 2.5A
Helmholtz coils: Mean radius: 280mm, 140 turns
