This sensor is very versatile with applications in many areas of the natural sciences. It can be used to study photosynthesis in Biology, to study light-emitting chemical reactions in Chemistry, to study the effect of changing voltage on a light-bulb's output in Physics and more. With three ranges, it can be used in low light environments such as in a classroom, or high light environments as in daylight outdoors. It measures Illumination. With both fast and slow modes, it can be used to measure fast light changes such as those produced by light bulbs connected to an AC supply, as well as the near steady levels outside on a sunny day. The light sensor in located in a plastic box just behind an access hole.
Experiment Duration: 50 milliseconds to 31 days.
Range and operation modes:
Illumination: 0 to 1,000 1lx Resolution
Illumination: 0 to 6,000 6lx Resolution
Illumination: 0 to 150,000 150lx Resolution
Signal: 0 to 1,000 1lx Resolution
Signal: 0 to 6,000 6lx Resolution
Signal: 0 to 150,000 150lx Resolution
ADC resolution: 12 bit
Max Sample Rate (S/sec): 100 for illumination 3000 for signal
Please note: A connection between your sensors and hardware is required. You can choose from the USB Module, WiFi Module, RF Module, or Display Module. A Battery Module is also required for any connection other then USB Module, which is powered through the cable. View the Neulog Connection Interface Group for accessories.
