Neulog Soil Moisture Sensor NUL-229
Item # NL-2290
Item can be ordered
This logger sensor is based on measuring the vacuum pressure in a tensiometer.
This logger sensor is based on measuring the vacuum pressure in a tensiometer. A tensiometer is a closed tube with a special ceramic part in its end. The tensiometer is filled with water and put in the soil. If the soil is dry, water goes out by diffusion through the ceramic holes and vacuum pressure is created in the tensiometer. When we wet the soil, the vacuum in the tensiometer pulls water into the tensiometer and the vacuum decreases. This is why soil moisture is measured in pressure level.
Experiment Duration: 1 second to 31 days.
Range and operation modes:
ADC resolution: 15 bit
Max Sample Rate (S/sec): 100
Please note: A connection between your sensors and hardware is required. You can choose from the USB Module, WiFi Module, RF Module, or Display Module. A Battery Module is also required for any connection other then USB Module, which is powered through the cable. View the Neulog Connection Interface Group for accessories.
