Product Details
The Sedimentator is an all-in-one tool that contains the substances you may find at the bottom of a body of water. Gravel of varied sizes is coupled with organic material and water to simulate how these materials interact throughout the process of sedimentation.
With a simple shake we can examine how organic material settles on top of, and eventually within the gravel layers. This examination reveals how material behaves at the bottom of a body of water, and shows the beginning of the fossilization process within sedimentary layers. There’s no substitute for learning by doing, and the Sedimentator puts students in control of this scientific inquiry.
