About Dan

Dan has been teaching high school physics since 1992. He is a member and past president of NCNAAPT. Dan is an AAPT Fellow and received their Honer L. Dodge Citation for Distinguished Service. He worked with the SETI Institute, NASA, USGS, AAPT, SJSU, and served as a Faculty Scholar at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Recently, Dan worked at  PASCO Scientific as their Physics and Physical Science Curriculum and Training Developer.

Physics Teacher SOS

Dan is a workshop leader with Physics Teacher SOS (PTSOS), a free workshop and support program for new high school and middle school physics teachers in Northern California.

PTSOS participants learn about the details of the craft of physics teaching from experienced teachers and receive physics equipment for use in their own classrooms. The PTSOS program is recognized as one of the most effective programs for training and retaining new physics teachers.
