Recall Information

We are recalling the Digital Stopwatch Timers and Digital Calipers purchased between March 2024 and July 2026.

The recalled products violate the mandatory safety standard for consumer products with button cell and coin batteries because the button batteries can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the packaging and product do not have the warnings required under Reese’s Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.

Affected Products:

  • Digital Stopwatch Timers, Model 52-3200
    • Purchased between March 2024 and July 2026
  • Digital Calipers, Model 01-1030
    • Purchased between March 2024 and July 2026

Summary of Risk:

  • The button batteries can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard.
  • When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.
  • We are legally required to recommend that all affected customers dispose of or recycle them by following local hazardous waste procedures and request a replacement.

What to do?:

👉 If you have been affected, please take the following steps:

  1. Stop using the product and keep it out of reach of children to avoid the risk of button or coin battery ingestion.
  2. Dispose of the product following local hazardous waste procedures. Make sure to take a photo of the product in the trash to provide evidence of its disposal.

  3. Email helpdesk@arborsci.com with the subject line “Stopwatch Recall” or “Caliper Recall” and include the photo of the product's disposal. Please provide the following details to help us process this quickly:

    • Name and email address
    • Order number (if known)
    • Shipping address
  4. Replacement. Once confirmed, we will send you a replacement
