The Digital Bench Ammeter measures DC current in series with a circuit element. Students break the circuit, wire the meter in series, and read the display. No range dial, no function selector, no chance of accidentally reading voltage when current was the goal.

Ammeters wire differently than voltmeters, and that distinction is part of the curriculum. A dedicated instrument makes it concrete: current is measured in series, it flows through the meter, and the 0.01 Ω input impedance keeps the meter from disturbing the circuit being measured. The 50-minute auto-off conserves battery life across class periods, and the LED low-battery indicator flags when a swap is needed before readings drift.
