Use our Gyroscope Wheel with this Rotating Platform to demonstrate the conservation of angular momentum. A Spinning wheel will produce positive and negative angular momentum depending on which direction it faces. Demonstrate what happens by having your students stand on the Rotating Platform while holding a spinning wheel. 

The Rotating Platform can also be used with hand weights to study rotational inertia, conservation of angular momentum, and action-reaction.

Use caution when standing on the platform. Stand next to young students. Weight must be evenly distributed for smooth operation. Stand on both feet, with feet on either side of the center. Operation will not be smooth if the platform is very cold. The oil must be at room temperature to lubricate properly. As the weight on the platform increases, more force will be required to rotate.
