Produce static electric charges and discharges with our Wimshurst Machine. Use the hand crank to rotate the plates in opposite directions. The close proximity of the plates will produce a substantial charge which is then deposited and stored in the Leyden Jar capacitors. Your students can create a high voltage, yet modest, and therefore safe, current source. Mounted on insulated wooden base.
