Ideal for demonstrating the photoelectric effect, this rechargeable lamp will be a trusty source of UV-C light year over year. The high-energy light is emitted at 253.7 nm. The 4 W lamp is powerful enough to eject static electrons on the surface of an aluminum plate (as used on our Demonstration Electroscope), demonstrating Einstein's 1905 theory that light consists of energetic particles called photons.
The self-contained light source operates with 4 AA batteries (not included).
