Item # P4-1700
Experiment with different weights, lengths, and amplitudes to find out which affects the period. Includes whiteboard for recording experiment parameters.
Simple Harmonic Motion, Conservation of Energy
A perfect example of how new technology can be used to enhance traditional labs. First, experiment with different weights, lengths, and amplitudes to find out which affects the period. Then use a photogate to measure the bob's maximum speed and a motion sensor to see how the speed changes throughout the swing. We've included a whiteboard where students can record the bob's vertical displacement and predict the maximum velocity using conservation of energy. Includes pendulum face, string, bob, grid, and bolts.
Please Note – Pendulum Lab Requires Workshop Stand and Timer and Photogates. The Workshop Stand has universal use for the following Physics Workshop Labs: Car and Ramp Lab, Horizontal Projectile Lab, Gravity Lab, and Lever Lab. See the Physics Workshop Group for a complete listing of all related products.
Products being sold are not toys. They are for Educational / Labratory use only. They are not for use by children 12 and under.
